by the International Furnishings and Design Association
Scope of work: Construction selections for fixtures and finishes, plus all furnishings and accessories.
Inspired by the colors in the sunset photo, the clients wanted their townhome renovated to create a comfortable retreat where they could relax with family. Seaside aqua, green, gray and beiges flow throughout the 3 bedroom 2 ½ bath home.
Originally built in 1981, the charm had left the building! Porcelain tile and engineered white oak flooring bring the home up-to-date with low maintenance materials for beachfront property. New LED lighting, fans, plumbing, and cabinetry were installed throughout.

Downstairs, the view is stunning, so a wall dividing the kitchen and dining space was removed. A custom-made glass partition separates the elevated dining from the lower level living room. Cabinets with lighted glass shelves flank the stone feature wall with TV. Glass-top bistro table is the perfect height and doesn’t block the “picture window." The only window treatments are solar shades that roll up into a neat valance. Furnishings are transitional style anchored by a textured wool/jute rug.
The classic Shaker kitchen features an iridescent glass backsplash reminiscent of the ocean sheen. Counters are quartzite stone. Barstool seats are covered in easy-care vinyl, safe for wet bathing suits. Twin Capiz shell pendants center over the oak extension table. Linen-skirted chairs keep an informal look.
Bedrooms are all about comfort. White sheers soften oceanside windows concealing blackout roller shades.
Watery aqua tile in the master bath gives an illusion of being underwater! Pebble shower floor completes the theme.
